Ethan Rasmussen Quito Ecuador Mission June 2021 - June 2023

  Yo!  This week was great we had a baptism of two sisters with the ages of 14 and 8!  It was such an sweet experience because the dads not a member and the missionaries have been trying to teach him for years and the mom was super worried to baptize her Kids but we promised her a lot of blessing for letting her Kids be baptized. And at the baptism the dad came and the mom was so happy she was crying and thanking us in front of everyone in the baptismal Service. Also the dad accepted us to talk with him this Friday, which is amazing! After we went to their house with all the extended family and ate food and cake w da zone!  We are this week we found someone that lives in a town called Tufiño that lives 20 minutes out of tulcan and she already has a date for the 10th of April! We are planning on going to visit her and her family this week! Also we had a big lunch with a member and our wholeee zone (Our zone right now consists of 10 Elders but 2 of them are in Colombia...

So crazy I hit 9 months last week! And I already almost have 4 months in Ecuador, time is crazy on the mish. Last week was crazy but good! First off last pday we had a baptism so I didn't get time to write but the baptism went good! Besides us filling the whole font with buckets hahaha. That Monday morning we woke up at 6 am to fill the font, we turned on all the hoses and it was working when we left to go back home to change.. we went back to the church at 9 and it's wasn't working at all. The baptism was in 15 min so we all (Zone Leaders were there to help us) grabbed some garbage cans and just went to town. There was a water tank in the back and we just had a chain going of filling the buckets up and dumping it in the font. It took an hour but we did it and we had a two baptisms! The next day I was still in the trio but we found out the Elder Simmons would be leaving to go work over the phone in Tulcan but Area Ipiales. So that was pretty sad when he left.  But also that...

  Hola!!  This week flewww bye It's started off with us just in lock down last week for carnival. And we just chilled in our house for two days. And on Tuesday we got notice that Zone Conference was going to be in Otavalo on Friday!  Wednesday and Thursday we worked and  visited some of our peeps that we are teaching. And we've been just trying to find that will progress.  Friday we had zone conference and it's was so bomb. Our president gave a money talk with his wife about Repentance and how it is all possible through Jesus Christ and how we can teach people to understand Repentance.  And we got notice of something pretty sweet. We can finally eat with Members now! Super hyped cuz it's just is progressing that Covid is getting better!  We've already ate with some Members and it's been good one time and the other time was interesting.
