9 months! - Quito North, Ecuador

So crazy I hit 9 months last week! And I already almost have 4 months in Ecuador, time is crazy on the mish.

Last week was crazy but good! First off last pday we had a baptism so I didn't get time to write but the baptism went good! Besides us filling the whole font with buckets hahaha. That Monday morning we woke up at 6 am to fill the font, we turned on all the hoses and it was working when we left to go back home to change.. we went back to the church at 9 and it's wasn't working at all. The baptism was in 15 min so we all (Zone Leaders were there to help us) grabbed some garbage cans and just went to town. There was a water tank in the back and we just had a chain going of filling the buckets up and dumping it in the font. It took an hour but we did it and we had a two baptisms!

The next day I was still in the trio but we found out the Elder Simmons would be leaving to go work over the phone in Tulcan but Area Ipiales. So that was pretty sad when he left.

But also that same day we got a text from the Office missionaries for photos of me and Elder Toapanta for a Colombian Visa... so not sure what that means but we will see!

My comp is the District Leader so on Friday we had exchanges! The other companionship has an american named Elder Ekins from st George and he can with me to my area! Me and him had 2 appts we went to and it was so fun. Just two gringos in the streets of Tuclan. We had 3 people on the streets just come up and talk to us it was so funny. But yeah it went well!

Also found a skateboard in on of our investigadors house and I got to land a kickflip!

Also we had a good week with our ppl we are teaching we found alot more people to teach these past two week grinding ! And now we have 5 people with baptism dates for April!

I read this scripture this week about faith and it's so bomb

Alma 32:18 Now I ask, is this faith? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for if a man knoweth a thing he hath no cause to believe, for he knoweth it.

Sometimes we think, and I have thought alot, if we really have faith and if it is strong. But I love this scripture just because Alma is telling us that faith isn't a knowlegde because if it was that there wouldn't be a point to believe! It helped me realize that i do have faith and it all started by me choosing to believe.

Another note

Yesterday we got notice that we can't use Messenger to text friends any more. So if you want to talk to me send me an email on this account!!

Hasta Luego!
