Conferencia de Zona - Quito North, Ecuador

It's started off with us just in lock down last week for carnival. And we just chilled in our house for two days. And on Tuesday we got notice that Zone Conference was going to be in Otavalo on Friday! 

Wednesday and Thursday we worked and  visited some of our peeps that we are teaching. And we've been just trying to find that will progress. 

Friday we had zone conference and it's was so bomb. Our president gave a money talk with his wife about Repentance and how it is all possible through Jesus Christ and how we can teach people to understand Repentance. 

And we got notice of something pretty sweet. We can finally eat with Members now! Super hyped cuz it's just is progressing that Covid is getting better! 
We've already ate with some Members and it's been good one time and the other time was interesting. We literally got a piece of cheese and put honey on it. Literally the weirdest combo I've ever had. I just tried to get it down my throat honestly. But then we also got some chicken empanadas which were rico.

Oh yeah zone conference was also so sickk because I got to see my homes from the MTC which was chill.

I'm still in a trio with Toapanta and Simmons but this week we found out that Simmons is going to Colombia very soon because the border is opening up! So dope I'm trying to go the town its literally 10 minutes from here.

Ether 4:12, our president shared us this scripture and its so good, it talks about how we need to believe in the Book of Mormon because it preaches of Christ and how if Jesus came we wouldn't recognize him unless we believe in the BoM.

Cheese w some honey - Quito North, Ecuador

  Yo everyone!! What's good how ru you all! This week I hit 10 months this past week, so crazy! This week was pretty normal besides Friday and yesterday! Friday is a day here that's like good Friday in the states. But here they eat this soup that they only eat on this day. Its crazy It literally has like 20 different things In It. It's got like 12 different beans, avocado, eggs, fried bread balls and bananas (bananas are on everything here.) I'll add a pic what It looks like below.. On Sunday we had two awesome baptisms with two teenagers Paula and Alejandro! Also we have this recient convert that got baptized about a week ago and she lives in a town called Tufiño. It's about 20 min in a bus outside the town. We have been planning on going there for ever to meet her family and yesterday we finally went. It went so well we got to know the family we talked to them for a little while and taught them about the restoration. The people here and especially in little towns ...

Quito! - Quito North, Ecuador

  Hey everyone! Fat minute since I wrote an email but here I am! Last transfer I was only in an area for one transfer in Otavalo, it was literally on a volcano and the people were indigenous and it was just straight farm land. Even the Sacrament meetings were in Quechua. It was pretty dope honestly I got to learn a little bit of language. But then I got transferred about a week ago... Now I'm in the big city of Quito as a "finder" basically an assignment that we just contact all day and we just teach one lesson w people and it's like a lesson to really see if they are interested, and if they are we pass the to the area in the zone! So it's actually really dope but we are traveling a bunch and meeting a lot of new people. Also there's four of us and 2 of them are freshies from the mtc! And last week was awesome because we were able to find some that wants to get baptized in the future!
