Ethan Rasmussen Quito Ecuador Mission June 2021 - June 2023

  Hey everyone Hope you are all doing well! Im still here in a trio waiting to get my passport to go to Colombia haha, we have been in this trio for 3 weeks and we don't know how much longer because of the people here are pissed at the President so there are in the street protesting and going crazy because all of the prices of everything have gone up so much, but yeah they say the President is just hiding in his house because he got "covid" haha. And this week we had to stay locked in our house like for 3 days but where I'm at in Tuclan its pretty chill, but it Quito is where it's bad... This week was so good tho! Found a family of 3 that's so golden they already have a baptism date in July! But we are so busy because we are working in two areas, mine and the zone leaders.   Hey everyone was tight week this week fr. I'm still in trio waiting to Colombia ha but there's a reason why... about a week ago the people of Ecuador started protesting about the President here, I guess they really don't like him. But yeah it's just been getting worst through out the week hahah they tried to sent our passports through the mail so we can cross into Colombia but all the main highways are closed. It's chill where I'm at rn in Tuclan but yeah I love it here. We are so busy because we are in charge  of two areas but I loved it. We ended up have 5 peoples baptized on Sunday it was sweet but I was pretty sad because 2 of our peeps fell through:( she's been having some problems w her fam and her work. We had been going over there a lot to help her but yeah she just said she needed some time, so porfa keep Marisol and Yolanda in your prayers. But man I love being a missionary it's so fun running all of town to just teach ppl about Jesus Christ ...

  Hey everyone! This week was good but crazy! We started off going to zone conference and it was so dope! We went to this huge statue of a virgin but I don't think it's virgin mary I really have no idea but all I know is president Kimball dedicated Ecuador there, then we went to the Temple in Quito, it's still not open yet but it's so dope! We took a bus around until like 1 then ate some lunch and had a little conference. We left conference and I still didn't have a companion. The rest of week we were so busy because we are taking care of two area it's nuts. But yeah there was like some emergency transfers and we got a new zone leader but yeah I still don't have a comp so bet. But this week we got a lot planned, in my area I should have 2 baptisms named Marisol and Yolanda!   Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well!! Had a crazy week this week not going to lie. This week was going pretty normal until like Thursday, we found out that we would be able to go to Colombia for Stake conference with our president. He said he would be coming Friday but he didn't end up coming until Saturday. Me and the other American went with him in his car to go through the immigration border and it went all good. In Colombia we went to this fat mall and ate with our President. I got this money pizza that was the best pizza I've had in a long time hahah. But we also had interviews with my president and he told me I will probably be heading to Colombia this week If my visa is ready! Then my comp had his interview with him and he came out and told me that he would be getting transferred to Quito. So now I'm by myself in my area living with my zone leaders lol. But yeah everything happened so fast. We have zone conference this week in Quito and we are leaving tomorro...
