Tulcan - Quito North, Ecuador

 Hola!!

This week was a lil crazy.. last Monday it was a normal Pday and then that night we got told that we were gonna have transfers on Tuesday. I really didn't think much of it because I was only in Quinindé for 3 months and usually people are there for a really long time hahah.

The next day comes around and I get told that I'm going to the coldest place in the mission hahaha. Tulcan, It's right on the border of Colombia, like 10 min drive, and super high in the mountains. It's like high 50s and low 60s everyday.

I ended up having to take a 11 hour bus ride which was really fun.

I am in a trio with Elder Toapanta from Quito and Elder Simmons from Idaho. We are thinking we aren't gonna be staying together for very long because the Colombian borders is supposedly opening really soon. So the Elders that live here are gonna move to Colombia and someone's gonna open a new area and get that house but you never know really.

This area is sick though I love it, it's pretty cold but I have a warm shower now which is pretty nice. And there's people in our Branch that area from Otavalo and they have a poncho shop. So one Saturday I bought a money one.

Carnival is this week here and it's pretty crazy. We have to stay inside today and tomorrow because people literally are just chucking water balloons at everyone and eggs and flour hahaha.

Yeah but my Spanish is finally coming along, I've really been studying hard and I feel like I can finally have a normal conversation with people it's so nice.
