Ethan Rasmussen Quito Ecuador Mission June 2021 - June 2023

  Hey! Hope everyone is doing good!  This week was bomb actually but diff! Monday we found out that we wouldn't be staying in a trio for much longer. My companions went to Quito and i went over to Colombia for a little. It was pretty dope it's crazy how much the people and the culture change just driving 10 minutes. But that was up until Thursday. After that it was no more Trio one of my comps got transferred to Quito so now its just me and elder santivañez from santa cruz Bolivia. But yeah we prolly aren't going to stay together very long because transfers are in a week haha and finally we should get more missionaries in the zone cuz rn there is only 4 missionaries here and there should be 14 :D But yeah we also had a baptism with Daniela so great!  Good new we can finally eat pig now too!  Pics of some food and some view and the bapt.

Hey guys hope everyone is doing well. This week was great but honestly don't remember a lot of it. On Monday somehow my phone dropped face first on the ground and ya after that it stopped working.  So i was without a phone basically the whole week but i got a new one!  This last week we got news that i might get a companion this week! But he'll prolly just be with me for like 2 weeks ha. But lit ive been in a trio for like almost two months now so itll be nice to go back to normal... But we are on the grind like always we have 3 dates for this week end but 2 of them got sick and we couldn't teach them but we'll see what happens.  Oh my just now we felt an earthquake that was pretty strong haha we had water in cups and they spilt every where. And we are on the third floor and the whole house was shaking haha. But todo bien This week we got a lot planned so talk soon! This week so good! Hope everyone's week was the same! The days are flying by that's for sure I already have 13 months in the mission... it's so nice having time and I've learned so much but I'm still learning more and more everyday!  But this week was so good we had a baptism with a family! Family of the 3, the mom and her two sons who are 16 and 8! But they wanted their baptisms to be at 7am in the morning so we were like bet, but that meant that we have to fill the baptismal font at 3 in the morning. So yeah we woke up at 3 and went to the church, we didn't want to go back to the house just to sleep another 2 hours so we were like bet let's just camp out in the Church. Bad Idea it's so cold here in the night probably like high 30s but I was wearing 2 jackets and that kept me warm but not my legs, so we didn't get much sleep that day. Hey everyone, This week was so fast I barely remember what happened so this emails not gonna be very long. This week we got to meet our new mission president he came up to tulcan for the day and the only thing I can say is he's such a homie it's so sick. He's from Mexico and he brought his two kids that are 16 and 10 and they speak English like perfectly. But yeah he came we had interviews w him and he's bought a bunch of food for us. We also had a baptism this week with Michael such a dawg. But this upcoming we have 4 people on baptism date for this Saturday so we will be working hard w them so keep them in your prayers :)

  Hey everyone good week this week, probably one of the fastest I've had. This week our President went home and we got a  new one, he's Mexican and seems pretty sweet ngl. But we still haven't met him, he should be coming here this weekend though so we should meet him this week!! But this week we've been working w all of our ppl so much, one mom that already had a baptism date, we were able to get here family on date for this next week! I'm little sad because we still don't know exactly when were are getting shipped Colombia still But when we do I'm gonna have to leave so much behind. But it's okay changes are good I've realized on the mission.  Still in this trio, tomorrow I'll be gonna on a month without a companion hahaha, but one good thing is that the strike ended so things are back to normal kinda!
